Shatter
When he left
I shattered
A million jagged shards
Spilled on the floor
I scooped them up
Greedily
Afraid of losing them
Before it was safe
To reassemble
When he came back
I got out the crazy glue
And feverishly attempted
To rebuild what I was
But some of the pieces
Don’t fit right
Some got lost
Some broke so small
They blew away on the wind
And I find myself terrified
That he may have liked
