Mei-Li Liu, born and raised in Taiwan, lives in Colorado . “The Rice Fields” and “My Grandma, Ah-Ma” were published in Skipping Stones Magazine 1999 and “My Father Found His Dream” won in Father’s Hall of Fame 2000. “The Victim” was awarded in the Mighty Muse community-wide writing contest in 2001. Author and illustrator of first book Ten Thousand Miles from Home, published by Dragon Press 2004. Poem, “Autumn” published in Brave Hearts magazine 2006. A poem "A Waitress" accepted publication in Long Story Short in September 2007, and a poem “Papa’s Waltz” accepted for publication in Asian American Female Poets Anthology in spring of 2008, and her second book, Looking into the Essence of Life, will be released on 2008.
