John Holt is the author of 14 books, incl Hunted: A Novel (Lyons 2003), Coyote Nowhere - In Search of America's Last Frontier (St. Martin's 2003, Lyons pb 2005), and Arctic Aurora - Canada's Yukon and Northwest Territories (Countrysport 2005). His poems have appeared in journals incl The Azorean express, High Country News, The Paumanok Review, Gray's Sporting Journal, Tryst, Counterpunch.org, Subtle Tea, and Znine. In 1993 the Montana Arts Council named him Montana Poet of the Year. He is a columnist for Big Sky Journal; and other work has appeared in publications incl Men's Journal, The Denver Post, American Cowboy, Fly Rod & Reel, E - The Environmental Magazine, Audubon, and The New York Times (photos).
