Taiping Ho, holds a doctorate degree from Florida State University in 1992, and is currently a full professor at Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology, Ball State University.  Dr. Ho has been a faculty member at Ball State since 1996, and he also taught at Western Carolina University during the period of 1992-96.  Dr. Ho has published numerous research articles on a variety of criminal-justice-related issues such as mentally retarded criminal defendants, police recruitment and selection process, police use of deadly force, Asian American in criminal justice, and hotel crimes.  Dr. Ho has experience of being a police officer, a program specialist in correctional institution, a Guardian ad Liten, and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer.
