He has been a municipal police officer, trainer, and manager. His primary teaching interests are American policing, together with research methods and data analysis. Currently, Dr. Morrison is researching US police department policies, programs, and practices revolving around firearms training, assessment of skills and abilities, and the use of deadly force.
