Research Interests

The research interests of our group are in the areas of synthetic methodology and the synthesis of compounds with potential applications in medicinal or bioorganic chemistry (such as relevance to agrochemicals or pharmaceuticals). We are currently investigating new synthetic procedures and adopting these procedures to the synthesis of some novel organic compounds which possess nitrogen containing heterocycles. Specifically, we are currently examining the isoxazole and pyrazole heterocycles. In addition, we are exploring the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction of nitrile oxides for the synthesis of some of our required heterocycles.
