The chemistry department offers graduate assistantships for support during graduate study. The stipends are about $12,000 per year plus remission of tuition. Larger amounts may be available to outstanding applicants

Graduate assistants are not assessed the nonresident fees and hence pay only dedicated fees, about $470 per semester during the Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

Federal Direct Student Loans are awarded through the Ball State Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. Applications for loans filed by 15 February are given priority
