Additional Information
Joan Osborne performs with The Holmes and Paul Thorn in a transformative evening of pops and blues. Joan Osborne was introduced to mainstream audiences with the single “One of Us” in 1995. The song became a massive MTV radio smash and earned Joan five Grammy nominations. She went on to perform with notable artists including Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder and Melissa Etheridge. Her latest album, “Breakfast in Bed,” strays from pop and channels classic soul singers and her 2002 album, “How Sweet It Is,” is made up entirely of R&B covers. The Holmes Brothers have been called “…the undisputed masters of blues-based American roots music” by the Chicago Tribune. They mix roadhouse rock with gospel fervor. Former professional prizefighter and son of a preacher from Mississippi, Paul Thorn creates music that speaks of the sacred and the profane. His connection to the Mississippi heartland makes him a wonderful musical storyteller.
