This show will be performed on Friday, February 6 at 7:30 p.m. & Sunday, February 8 at 2 p.m. The life and exploits of Don Giovanni, a.k.a. Don Juan, are world-renowned. His name is synonymous for the flouting of society in pursuit of sexual pleasure. After a life of amorous conquests, Don Giovanni, a young nobleman, meets defeat in his three encounters: with Donna Elvira, whom he has deserted; with Donna Anna, whose father Giovanni kills; and with Zerlina, whom he vainly tries to lure from her fiance. All vow vengeance on the Don. Composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Don Giovanni is a dramatic comedy performed in two acts. BSU Opera Theatre is just one of part of the fine ensembles in the School of Music.
