Lisa Garner joined Ball State University’s Center for Economic and Community Development in February 2000. Currently she is the Program Manager for the Office of Building Better Communities.

Garner earned an associate degree in business management from Indiana Business College. Before taking her current position in 2005, she was the Center's Project/Technical Specialist.

In her spare time, she enjoys watching her kids play sports, and various outdoor activities.

Garner’s responsibilities include:

• develop and maintain the currency of the Building Better Communities projects database
• managing BBC projects which includes tracking and reporting project status and preparing up-to-date county/regional project reports, etc.
• project management of the CDBG Grants Administrator Training
• management of the center’s Web site
