What types of customized local and regional educational services are offered by the center?
The Center for Economic and Community Development works in partnership with local, regional, state, and national organizations to develop, organize, and present on-site, regional, and statewide education programs in the areas of community and economic development.

Programs can be offered on-site, locally and regionally, through video and audio medium, by teleconference, and through videoconferencing by the Indiana Higher Education Telecommunications System (IHETS). The programs are customized to meet the unique needs of communities and practitioners. Past topics have included:

  • community development
  • existing industry development
  • community strategic planning
  • financing economic and community development
  • building local development organizations
  • community economic development for boards, volunteers, and government officials
