:: Dr. Chu-yuan Cheng
Chu-yuan Cheng, Professor of Economics,
Ball State University, Indiana, received his Ph.D.
from Georgetown University. He is the author of more
than 30 books on Chinese economy. Among the are: China's
Economic Development: Growth and Structural Change
(Westview Press), Taiwan as a Model for China's
Modernization (Linking Press), Sun Yat-Sen's
Doctrine in Modern World (Westview Press), Behind
the Tianamen Massacre (Westview Press), China's
Economic Reform: Programs, Effects, and Prospects
(Eurasian Association), and more than one hundred
articles in academic journals.
Professor Cheng served as President
of the American Association for Chinese Studies (1996-1998),
and research member of the Presidential National Unification
Council, Republic of China (1992-1996). He is currently
President and Board of Directors for Sun Yat-Sen Institute
in America and counsultant to the National Science
Foundation.
