Rob joined Lilly in 1985, after graduating
from the Indiana University MBA Program. Since that
time he has held a variety of sales and marketing
positions, including Sales Representative, Marketing
Associate, Sales Manager and U.S. Product Manager.
In 1994, Rob helped establish STC Corporation, a generic
subsidiary for Lilly. Rob served as the new ventures
frist President.
In 1995, Rob accepted the position
of General Manager Lilly China. For the next 3 years,
Rob helped Lilly establish a presence in China, managed
a joint venture in Suzhou, oversaw the construction
of Lilly's first manufacturing facility in China and
expanded the affiliates reach from 12 to 45 cities.
Today, Lilly has over 700 employees and is one of
the top 10 pharmaceutical companies in China.
In 1999, Rob returned to the position
of Global Marketing Director, Lilly ICOS LLC. Lilly
ICOS LLC is 50/50 joint venture. The primary product
Cialis™ should be the one of the first viable
competitors to Viagra. ICOS is a biotech based in
Seattle. Rob's role is to oversee the global marketing
strategy. The marketing team is made up of both Lilly
and ICOS employees. In addition, Rob influences the
product development to ensure maximum market value.
In October 2003, Rob was named Executive Director
of Marketing for the Intercontinental Region.
Outside work, Rob serves on the Board
of Directors of the Library Foundation as well as
the Board of Directors for an Indianapolis based private
school.
