China

The biggest market in the world, and one of the most complex. What do we make of it? How do we access it? What are the risks of doing so and what are the benefits? What have other firms from Indiana learned that can help us lower our risk and increase our benefits? How does the experience of large transnational companies compare with that of smaller ones? Who is there to help us get started, both with market research, legal advice, and financing? Who do we factor in currency values as we plan?

In short, how do we “do business in China?”

These questions and many more will be addressed during the one-day seminar entitled, “Doing Business in China.”

Experts from all sectors will be gathered to share their experiences and answer questions. Presenters represent, Eli Lilly Co., Export-Import Bank of the US, Maxon Corporation, Bose McKinney and Evans LLP, Fifth Third Bank, Paws LLC, Pacific World Trade & State of Indiana Foreign Trade Office, International Trade Division of the Indiana Depart. Of Commerce, and the Miller School of Business, Ball State University.

The Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Chicago and a delegation from Sichuan Province in Central China will also be presenting and ready to discuss potential economic development.

Participants will also receive a wealth of printed matter and references about China, its business climate, intellectual property right laws and more…
