Melissa Weisbrodt began teaching at Ball State University in the Spring of 2006.  She has been a RN for 17 years, with 4 years as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing at a community mental health center.  She has also worked at Riley Hospital as a research nurse for multiple pharmaceutical and NIH funded studies.  Prior to her interest in child psychiatry she worked at a large children's hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio as a pediatric RN.  She has nursing experience in many areas of pediatrics including critical care, ER triage, oncology, organ transplant, well-child care, home care, and pediatric hospice.
