Profile
| Phyllis Chapin has taught at Ball State University since 1999. She currently teaches both the classroom and clinical components for Basic Concepts in Nursing, more commonly known as Fundamentals, in the undergraduate baccalaureate program. Phyllis has also taught in adult health, management, nursing seminar, and assisted in the simulation laboratory. She is the liaison for the Honors in Nursing program, as well as the faculty representative of the Nursing Alumni Board. Phyllis received the School of Nursing Outstanding Teaching Award for the School years 2002-2003 and 2003-2004. Phyllis utilizes humor in both the classroom and clinical settings. She believes learning should be fun as well as challenging. Phyllis teaches her students that nursing is truly a caring profession.
