School of Nursing, Ball State University
Post Master's Certificate Course of Study Overview
You'll begin your studies with an introductory course that focuses on the use of computer technology in nursing practice, administration, education, and research. Then you will progress into the sequence of courses designated for the certificate you have chosen, educator or nurse practitioner. All courses are completely on-line. You will arrange required clinical hours in your community, subject to faculty approval, and in some cases will need to identify an appropriately qualified individual to serve as an clinical faculty member overseeing your clinical experience.

As you enter the post-master's certificate program, the program Associate Director will work with you on an individual basis to develop your initial plan of study for the chosen certificate. You'll then be assigned a faculty advisor who will assist you as you progress through the course sequence to ensure that all requirements are met within six years.
