1. Submit a current unencumbered Indiana LPN license; be in good standing with the Indiana State Board of Nursing.
2. Have credit with a grade of C (2.00) or higher in COMM 210, EDPSY 250, 355, FCSFN 340, HSC 180, or equivelent transfer course.
3. Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 or higher in a minimum of 30 semester credit hours of required courses. All previously attempted undergraduate hours will be calculated in the GPA.
4. Prerequisite courses for nursing may be repeated one time only for a grade of C (2.00) or higher.
5. Have credit in BIO 113, CHEM 101, PSYSC 100, and SOC 100 with a grade of C (2.0) or better. These courses can be or have been repeated only on time to obtain a grade of C or above.
6. Have credit in ANAT 201 and PHYSL 210 or 215/299x with a grade of C (2.0) or better or enrollment in these courses at the time application is submitted. These courses can be or have been repeated only one time to obtain a grade of C or above.
7. Disclose criminal background. Applicants need to be aware they may not be admitted based on their criminal background.
Students who meet all of the criteria above except for the GPA of 3.0 may apply for provisional admission.
If you are selected for admission to the baccalaureate nursing program and do not accept a space in the class, you must reapply if you later change your mind and wish to enter the program.
All applicants must turn in sealed official transcripts for all undergraduate course work attempted from EACH institution, including BSU, at the time of application.
Applications for the Baccalaureate Nursing Program are accepted in CP 253 ONLY during:
- The first 10 days of Spring semester for the following Summer or Fall admission.
