Announcements/Events:
We will be participating in the Alzheimer's walk on Sunday, September 27th. Carol has forms in her office (CN 417D) if needed. Will need to be there to sign-up around 12:30 at Worthen arena. For more information please email any of the officers or Carol at ckeihn@bsu.edu. Jessica Sallee is in charge of this event, can also contact her with questions/misc.
There will be a Bone Marrow screening at the Multicultural center on campus on September 28, 2009 at 11am-2pm. Please contact Carol if interested in helping. Jessica Sallee is also in charge of this event with Carol.
There will be a ROTC Activity Day and blood drive on Tuesday, September 29, 2009. If interested in helping please contact Carol. Also, Angela Cox has given permission for students to receive clinical hours for nursing 404 for participation in the activity day. Jessica Nguyen is in charge of this event. Can also contact her for more info/misc.
We are planning to have a movie night on Wednesday, November 18, 2009. We will be having snacks and wearing pajamas! If you have any ideas for a movie you would like to watch please email your suggestion to Carol and then we will be putting together a list and voting on a movie to watch. Date is November 18th at 6pm in CN 160. Lanae' Maller will bring her popcorn popper.
We are looking for ideas for fundraising ideas so if you have any ideas please contact officers or Carol. We gave some ideas of a candle fundraiser or Littman stethoscope fundraiser. We will be sending out more information through e-mail and at next meeting. Krista Johns and Jessica Nguyen are in charge of fundraising. Can contact them for more info/misc.
We will be doing the Elder-Beerman fundraiser again. The community day will be Saturday, November 14, 2009. We need people to sell coupon booklets again. Please visit Carol's office in CN 417D to pick some up. They are 5.00 each. Money will go for NSNA trip to Orlando, Florida in April.
The next BSNA meeting is scheduled for October 19th at noon in CP 315. Army recruiter will provide lunch.
If interested in becoming a member of BSNA this school year please pay your dues to Carol. The cost is $20 and includes a BSNA shirt.
We want to change the color and design of the BSNA shirts for this school year. If you have any suggestions for colors, design, or diagnoses (like on previous shirts) please email Carol. New colors will be navy and grey. Still need a new nursing diagnosis.
NSNA annual convention this year will be at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida on April 7 through 11, 2010. Please email Carol at ckeihn@bsu.edu if interested. Check out www.nsna.org for more info. Cost to be determined-some will be reimbursed through nursing department/Nursing Alumni and fundraisers depending on how many are interested in going.
