Announcements/Events:
New officers were introduced to all. Hopefully, pictures will be obtained soon and added to website - www.bsu.edu/nursing/bsna
Our BSNA website, along with state and national sites was discussed, along with membership dues, benefits, etc. The state and national sites can be accessed from our BSNA site.
New t-shirts designs were discussed. People should email color choices to officers soon so that the new shirts can be made to distribute to members.
Different fundraisers were discussed-BSU School of Nursing window clings, seen at the state fair, cookie dough, or items to sell at the national convention in April. Remember, candy bars and uniforms are available now.
Tuesdays overall, are good meeting days for students. 4pm is a good time.
Students would like to see an ICU nurse, neonatal nurse, or ED nurse come to next meeting in October.
Cookie fest and spa day will be held toward the end of this semester, tentatively set for December 1st, 2008.
The BSNA blood drive is October 8th from 10a to 3p. We are in need of volunteers to help with sign up, hand out flyers, or donate. Please email Carol, if available.
We will go to Indy November 8th-tentatively, to see The Bodies Exhibit. That's a Saturday. We'll probably car pool and have lunch in Circle Centre Mall. Email officers if you want to go!!
We also will be getting a bulletin board in the School of Nursing to decorate, strictly for BSNA to give updates to students, but the website is also updated periodically.
