History: This scholarship was created to honor the mother of Laura Hansen Dean, former Executive Director of the BSU Foundation and Director of Planned Giving. The children of Geraldine Hansen made the scholarship possible: Michael and Laura Hansen Dean; Richard and Linda Hansen Frary; David and Nancy Hansen Riordan; and Michael and Susan Saffer Hansen. Established in OCtober 1990.

Requirements: Applicants must have completed sophomore year. Preference is given to students interested in direct patient care (rather than education or administration).
