R.N. to B.S. Track Admissions Requirements
To be accepted into the R.N. to B.S. track, you must be accepted to Ball State University as an undergraduate student. You can apply to the university as an on-campus student or distance education student. Distance education students may not take courses on-campus. You can apply to the university on-line.

To qualify for admission to R.N. to B.S. track, you must also:

  1. Be a graduate of a nursing program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). Exemption to this criterion:
    • Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.75 or better on a 4.0 scale in a basic nursing program, or
    • Achieve a 2.75 GPA or better after the completion of 12 credit hours at Ball State University.
  2. Have earned a grade of C or better in a complete Anatomy/Physiology sequence, Microbiology with lab, Chemistry with lab, Introduction to Psychology, Principles of Sociology and Speech Communication, or equivalent transfer courses.
  3. Hold a grade point average of 2.0 or higher.
  4. Hold a current unencumbered state R.N. licensure.
  5. Have submitted to the School of Nursing the required Health Clearance form, CPR certification, signed informed consent, and documentation for specified background checks.

Upon acceptance to the University, you will work with your advisor on a plan of study.
