Tom Weidner, coordinator of athletic training programs
Weidner was quoted in a Jan. 3 article in The Indianapolis Star about the effects of exercising while sick.

For the average exerciser with a head cold, Weidner's advice is to exercise at about half the usual intensity on the first day.

"If you feel fine, bump it up. If you're feeling weak and ill for a couple hours afterwards, you may have overdone it. Next time, do less," he said.
