Urban design isn't just architecture, landscape architecture, or city planning. It's a multidisciplinary topic concerned with the interaction of people and the environment we build. From park benches to skyscrapers, urban design seeks to create great places for people. If you're interested in learning more about urban design, we've collected some resources here.

WHAT IS URBAN DESIGN?

There really isn't a single definition of urban design out there. Below are a few great links to online documents that are great resources for learning about urban design. Many of these links are from the United Kingdom, where the field of urban design has been embraced by the public and government for some time.
