The Irvington Neighborhood Plan is a plan developed by the residents and business owners of the historic Irvington neighborhood on the east side of Indianapolis.  The City of Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development along with Ball State University's College of Architecture and Planning Indianapolis Center and the Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center will be assisting the community in the development of this plan that will guide future development in the area.

As part of the plan, a land use and building condition inventory was conducted.  Each parcel of land was categorized for its land use, and every structure was given an overall building condition.  This information is being integrated into the Indianapolis Marion County Geographic Information System.

The plan will ultimately be adopted by the Metropolitan Development Commission.  It will then serve as a roadmap for policy decisions by the public sector as well as by the residents and private sector in Irvington.
