CAP Departments and Programs
Departments & Programs

Ball State University's College of Architecture and Planning is home to four independent professional disciplines: architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, and historic preservation. All four of these fields apply to the same domain: the study of the art and science of environmental design and planning.

The CAP departments and programs representing these disciplines stand out individually as regional and national models for education and practice in their respective fields. At the same time, they share resources and foster interdisciplinary collaboration on a daily basis to give students a broad perspective and diverse skills.

Together these programs are devoted to the sustainable, humane, functional, and aesthetic design and preservation of the physical environment.
