Mentoring is a collaborative partnership that offers many benefits to the participating students, professionals, firms, and institutions. It allows an experienced generation to pass on knowledge while receiving insight into cutting edge ideas and technologies from the future generation of professionals. To all of the above, it makes a difference by:
- Providing a platform for professionals to improve a student's experience.
- Linking students with professionals in their career areas or other areas of interest.
- Giving professionals the opportunity to re-energize their studies or careers by reconnecting them to the development of younger students.
- Supporting the development of new generations of committed professionals to serve the design and related professions. (text from CALAMENT Website)
