Students in CAP's first year program are not required to purchase laptop computers.  Each degree program (architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning) has different computer hardware and software requirements.  Therefore the College recommends students purchase laptop computers only after they have completed the first year program and chosen a degree program.  Students should, however, anticipate the need to purchase a laptop before beginning their second year of study.
