The College of Architecture and Planning's shop contains equipment for working with wood, metal, plastics, glass, and other materials. Equipment includes woodworking machines, welding equipment, vacuum forming machines, and a new CNC router.

The full-time shop technician oversees the use of the equipment and the area and assists students in model building and special creative projects for CAP's hands-on courses. Located in the basement of the Architecture Building, the shop is open during regular university hours with varying additional evening hours.
