The Visual Resources Collection offers a growing number of digitized copies of slides in the collection and related digital images. Image subjects range from buildings and sites of historical importance to significant contemporary examples of architecture, landscape architecture, and urban planning. The ditial image collection is available online through the University Libraries' Digital Media Repository. The collection is searchable and images may be used in presentations and other projects. The center also hosts the David R. Hermansen Slide Collection of more than 119,000 slides available for use by students, faculty, and staff in the College of Architecture and Planning as well as all Ball State University ID holders. Notable holdings include an extensive Indiana collection. The entire collection is fully cataloged. The Visual Resources Collection's regular hours during the academic year are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday though Friday. Hours vary during summer sessions. Current hours are always available by calling (765) 285-7828 from a touchtone phone.
