Additional Information
The NREM Alumni Society has adopted a one mile stretch of the White River in Hamilton County as an ongoing community service project. We will meet at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29 at Koteewi Park, 12308 E. Strawtown Ave, Noblesville, IN. We will be shuttled up to the river access at Lafayette Trace Park and then float down to the adopted river segment. We will have lunch at Koteewi and continue downstream to the take out point at the White River campground. With lunch, this is a four to five hour trip (depending on river flow).
Canoes, paddles, and PFDs will be provided courtesy of the White River Canoe Company. All participants will be required to wear a PFD while on the water and sign a waiver of liability.
Participants should bring: lunch, drinking water, sunscreen, gloves, and old shoes or water shoes. Family members are welcome. Children must be 10 years or older, be able to swim and be accompanied by a parent.
Please reserve your spot as early as possible but no later than September 12.
Reply to alumni1@bsu.edu with your name and the names of any family members joining you (include the age of children). Also include a contact number where you can be reached on Saturday in case the event needs to be postponed due to river conditions.
