Managers and supervisors of Staff employees will learn how to conduct effective performance evaluations. Information covered will include: 9 Steps in the Performance Evaluation Process; Tips for Writing and Delivering an Evaluation; How to Handle Difficult Conversations During the Performance Period About Inadequate Performance; How to Conduct a Performance Conversation with the Employee. Learning Objectives: After attending this workshop, participants will be able to: LO1: Understand the key elements of a performance evaluation; LO2: Describe reasons why evaluations are needed and how they contribute to team-building; LO3: Apply the 1 - 5 evaluation scale to performance factors; LO4: Conduct a two-way conversation with the employee concerning whether expectations were met or not.
