Additional Information

For the past 18 years, an amazing crowd of crime writers, readers, and booksellers meet in downtown Muncie for Ball State University's Magna cum Murder Crime Writing Festival. Held at the Horizon Convention Center October 26-28, the festival includes a weekend of panels, programs, interviews, and book signings with some of your favorite crime writers. Event is open to anyone interested in crime fiction and mysteries!

The Guest of Honor is bestselling author, SJ Rozan, best known for her series featuring private investigative partners Lydia Chin and Bill Smith. Her work has won the Edgar, Shamus, Anthony, Nero, Dilys, and Macavity awards for Best Novel and the Edgar for Best Short Story. She's also the recipient of the Japanese Maltese Falcon Award. Publishers Weekly gave Rozan's newest novel Ghost Hero a starred review: 'Engaging characters, crisp dialogue, intelligent storytelling, and a minimum of violence add up to another winner for Rozan.' Dennis Lehane, author of Mystic River and Gone, Baby, Gone, praises SJ Rozan as 'Hands-down one of my favorite crime writers working today. SJ Rozan can write sentences that literally make my jaw drop.  To read her is to experience the kind of pure pleasure that only a master can deliver.'

Currently enrolled Ball State students may attend Saturday events (excludes meals) for $30. For full and partial registration details, visit www.magnacummurder.com. The program is sponsored by The E.B. & Bertha C. Ball Center of Ball State University.
