May Term is held in the spring of the school year. This end of the year curriculum is designed by teachers and students to explore issues of interest and investigates real-world topics and offers experiences not otherwise accessible in the school curriculum. May Term is used as a testing ground for future high school courses and curriculum modification. Examples of classes offered the past two years include History of Baseball, History of Games, Culture and Practice of Yoga, Eastern Religions, Movies of Alfred Hitchcock, Asian Cooking, Shakespeare, Textile Design, Navajo Nation. Attendance and participation is required for all activities and field trips. Students prepare a class presentation for a final exhibition. A credit-no credit system is based on a student attendance and participation and demonstrated proficiency on the work assigned.
