Burris teachers and students participated in a two-year partnership with the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and explored the concept of "museuming" class and student products resulting from an integrated study of a topic or an idea or concept.

As a result of the collaboration, Burris teachers and students engage in integrated energetic cross-curricular and cross-grade learning experiences that are showcased for the school community in an end of the year K12 museum .
