Recovering

Spring break has been over for a week and I am finally getting back into school mode.  I was just going to go home for the break but at the last minute me and a couple friends decided we should go somewhere especially since it is our senior year.  We decided to go to Miami and of course the minimum price for plane tickets was $500, so we drove.  It was fun but very exhausting most of the driving was done on barely any sleep, which I would not recommend.

When I got back my flash drive would not work.  I had assignments saved on it that were due and not only that but important documents from the past year.  Now I will definitely make sure I save things on my computer and new flash drive.

Still at it…

Right now I’m nervous.  In my next class I will find out my grade from a very difficult test.  Students I spoke with from the other section of the class reported the results were not too good.  Hopefully I will surprise myself; I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

Last week was Cardinal Preview days, which is an event where high school students come to “preview” the University and learn about its programs.  I was on the panel for the Miller College of Business.  If you are interested in learning more about Ball State this may be something you want to look into, there is another one coming up in April.

Spring Break starts this Friday and I’m not going anywhere.  I thought about it, but I was too focused on other things to put any energy toward making plans.  Even though I am not going anywhere I am happy to have a short break and I guess it will save me money and give me more time with my family (that’s always a plus).

Burrrrrrrr!

It is so cold. I don’t know why I cannot get use to the weather and I have lived in Indiana my entire life. It feels like needles all over my skin, sounds great doesn’t. But the cold weather does have some benefits. I never want to leave the house, which allows me to get a ton of work done. (Hopefully this means great grades this semester!) Just remember to be careful when walking in this weather because it can be very slippery. I almost fell last week when I was getting on the shuttle; luckily a friend was there to stop me! Although it probably would have hurt, it still would have been funny. Can’t be too serious when it comes to that type of thing!

Now that I am back in school I am getting a feel for how the semester is going to be.  With that said I am pretty excited with what I will be doing in my classes.  Although this semester will be difficult, I will be working on projects in my classes that allow me to gain experience for what I want to do.  This is something that Ball State is very good at.

I am also now apart of Cardinal Communications, which is a student run communications agency.  I am currently learning the ropes and hope for great things to come.

For people looking into college, it’s important to get involved.  But also make sure you don’t over do it and stress yourself out!

Back To School!

Class begins tomorrow after having three short weeks off.  It’s always difficult to get back into the swing of things after having that much time away.  Once finals were over I was able to spend a lot of time with family and enjoy the holidays.  Over the break I went to a Pacer game which was pretty eventful due to the man who had too much to drink sitting next to us.  They played the Charlotte Bobcats, unfortunately they did not win, but it was a good game.
