Admission committees look favorably on applicants with diverse interests and extra-curricular involvement. The Club officers have worked diligently to arrange activities for pre-professional students to get to know each other, to become involved in volunteering, and to share ideas. Be sure to mark your calendar to participate in one or more of the following events:

Alternative Medical Career Paths
Thursday, March 24,
A representative from the National University of Health Sciences will discuss alternative medical career paths such as DOs, chiropractics, and others.

Future Events
- Guest speakers such as current medical students, physicians, medical professionals, representatives of medical schools, chiropractic schools, etc.
- Riding along on an ambulance run
- MCAT study groups.
- Med-Ed Day at Indiana University's Muncie regional campus--a chance to talk to medical students about curriculum and entrance to medical school
- IU Seek Day—in early to mid-April, a trip to IU Medical School in Indianapolis that includes a morning seminar on entrance into medical school and in the afternoon a chance to shadow physicians
Membership Requirements
- Must be a pre-professional student (pre-medical or pre-dental preparation)
- Completion of the Membership Information Form and payment of $11 dues by check or money order (submit in the biology office in the PreMed/PreDent Club mailbox). Be sure to include your current, frequently-used e-mail address when filling out the membership form.
- Must attend at least two service events per semester to be considered a legitimate and active member (for resumes, applications, etc.) Attendance will be taken at events.
