Architecture Internships
Students pursuing a professional degree in architecture are required to complete one of the program's internship options. Because of the strong reputation of the department's internship program, Ball State students have successfully interned throughout the country and in many major cities around the world. Student selection of an option needs departmental approval.

Internship options include: interning three consecutive summer beginning at the end of the third year of the undergraduate program; the "gap year," which is interning for an entire year after the completion of undergraduate studies but prior to the start of the professional graduate program; or during a semester of the first year of graduate studies. The last option is called the practicum and is taken for academic credit along with two courses: Practicum Case Studies and Practicum Reflections.
