In the summer some things change in the Program, although, most things stay the same. You can expect the same quality service from our staff and you will have the same Exercise Leader in the summer. Some important changes for you to be aware of are:
- The Fitness Center is NOT OPEN on Saturdays (Saturday hours will resume in the Fall).
- The Fitness Center hours are slightly reduced. Morning hours are 5:30 - 8:30 a.m., the noontime hours 11:30a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and evening hours are 3:30 - 6:30 p.m.
- The Fitness Center will be CLOSED for two weeks (weeks of May 26th and July 21st). This is to allow for a number of things: staff vacation time, program planning time, Fitness Center cleaning and maintenance time, etc. We wanted to get this information to you early so you can make plans for alternate exercise and/or physical activities during that time. The Program staff will be happy to discuss alternatives with you.
We encourage you to continue exercising regularly this summer. Summer often brings opportunities for outdoor activities, which can be both beneficial from a fitness perspective and enjoyable. However, sometimes summer schedules change and include vacation plans, which can create challenges to regular exercise participation. We encourage you to set a goal to maintain regular exercise participation throughout the summer months. We look forward to seeing you in the Fitness Center.
