What is race? Is race real or just a mental and social construct? Is the concept of race useful or simply divisive? Why do we need it? As part of the Diversity Policy Institute Seminars, over the next ten weeks, the meaning of race will be explored from five different disciplines: anthropology, biology, psychology, philosophy, and sociology. In addition, Dr. Vence Bonham, a scientist with the National Institutes of Health, will present a final seminar from the Genome Project.
