2008 Touch the Tower Entry Form & Release of Liability

Join students, alumni, faculty/staff, and the Muncie community on September 24 to take a stroll down McKinley Avenue from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and watch student performers and acoustic music acts at various spots along the avenue. In addition to the musicians, artists will be on hand to display their work and student vendors plan to serve refreshments and sell souvenirs throughout the event. SGA will be handing out free pizza while supplies last.

NEW EVENT THIS YEAR! TOUCH THE TOWER!

Touch the Tower Rules:

Teams will consist of two members (no substitutions).
The entry fee is $15 for the first team submitted, $10 for each additional team.
Teams must link hands. The anchor will place one hand on Shafer Tower, while holding on to his or her partner's hand. The other individual must perform tasks including:
- Opening a Starburst
- Dribbling a basketball
- Swapping shoes with your partner
- Balancing on one foot
Participants may be required to overcome other challenges as the competition progresses.
Teams who let go of Shafer Tower or fail to continuously link hands with each other will be eliminated.
Winners will be decided by the team that can touch Shafer Tower the longest without letting go.
Touch the Tower will begin at 5:00 p.m. at Shafer Tower on Wednesday, September 24, 2008. Tardiness to the competition will result in an automatic loss.

The evening will conclude with a FIREWORKS SHOW on LaFollette Field at 8:30 p.m., sponsored by SGA. Tune in to WLBC 104.1 for your chance to win a VIP prize pack! WLBC will be on site to broadcast. Visit www.wlbc.com

*Note: The campus shuttle route will be altered due to the street closing for this event. The revised route heading south will be: left on Neely...Right on New York...Right on Riverside...Martin to Ashland Avenue to the South Shelter. The route will also continue on this route heading North. Thanks for your patience.
