The Homecoming Steering Committee has planned a special event to honor the dedication of the wonderful faculty at staff at Ball State. Please join us at the Alumni Center for a faculty/staff and royalty social reception and enjoy a complimentary buffet of hors d'oeuvres and a variety of beverages. Do not miss the chance to catch up with colleagues and meet this year's 2008 Homecoming Royalty candidates.

Reservations are required by September 11 so that we may provide you with a nametag and prepare for enough refreshments.

Ball State faculty/staff members, royalty candidates, and the Homecoming Steering Committee are invited to start their day off right by having breakfast at the Atrium on September 23.  The buffet menu included bagels, pastries, fresh fruit, and hot and cold beverages. The Faculty/Staff and Royalty breakfast is sponsored by the Ball State Federal Credit Union.

Your reservation is requested by Thursday, September 18, so that we may provide you with a nametags and plan for enough food.

Departments are encouraged to show their Homecoming spirit and decorate their offices during Homecoming week!  Judging will take place on Friday, September 19, 2008.  Grand Prize winners will receive lunch for their office!

Rules:

• Decorating will be judged on creativity and appearance, as well as adherence to the current Homecoming theme, "Red, White + U!"
• There is no entry fee for the department decorating contest, but please limit resources to no more than $75
• All Departments must abide by the rules and regulations established by Ball State University, as well as all fire and safety codes
• Judging will be held on Friday, September 19, by appointment.  All decorating work must be completed by 10:30 a.m. that day. A member of the Homecoming Steering Committee will get in touch with the office contact person to set up a time for judging.
• Winners will be announced at the Opening Day Bonfire on Monday, September 22, 2008 at 9:00 p.m. on Lafollette Field.
