Banner Decorating Contest

Rules:
  • Banners should follow this year's Homecoming theme of "Red, White + U!"
  • The entry fee is $15
  • There is no limit to resources for the banner except the use of glitter. All banners with glitter will be disqualified and not displayed. Use your imagination, but please stick to the theme.  All banners must be cloth (shower curtains or shower curtain hooks are recommended for easy display)
  • Banners are to be brought to the Alumni Association Office, Alumni Center, 2nd Floor, 2800 W. Bethel Avenue, by Monday, September 15, before 4:00 p.m. The banner needs to be completely dry when delivered. All banners entered in the competition will be displayed at the Faculty/Staff Social on September 16, Talent Search on September 23, and Air Jam on September 25 
  • The Homecoming Steering Committee is not responsible for stolen or damaged banners
  • Any participants who wish to display their banner in the Parade need to pick their banner up between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26. Otherwise they will not be returned to you.


The 2008 Homecoming Steering Committee will judge banners.  Winners will be announced at Air Jam, Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 9:00 p.m. in Emens Auditorium. Remember, competition participation is counted toward the Ashley Award.
