Alumni Spotlight - Julie Bradshaw, '80
Julie Bradshaw earned a bachelor's degree in physical education with a minor in aquatics in 1980 from Ball State University. While at Ball State, she was a member of the women's swimming team earning a varsity letter all 4 years, a Delta Tau Delta Little Sis, and was involved in intramural sports. FULL STORY

Ball State Alumni Coach of the Year Award Winners Announced
The Alumni Association has announced seven high school Coach of the Year awards for the Fall 2005 season. The award is presented to Indiana high school head coaches in all IHSAA-recognized sports. Teacher Fair and Career Listings
The Career Alumni Network, a networking service for those in need of career direction, is available online. Teacher Fair is scheduled for May 3-4, 2006 at Worthen Arena. This program offers education majors an opportunity to collect information from school corporations, distribute résumés, and possibly interview. Cardinal ViewJobs lists thousands of employment opportunities, including full-time professional jobs for experienced alumni. Indiana Jobs Central, a resource available through the Career Center, is provided by leading employers as a public service for all employers and all job seekers. FULL STORY

President's Medal of Distinction to be presented to Tuskegee Airmen in special ceremony
President's Medal of Distinction to be presented to Tuskegee Airmen in a special ceremony to honor their service to their country. Only 31 medals have been given in the history of the university. FULL STORY

Cardinal Communications provided logistical support as the IEDC and Sallie Mae, the nation's leading student loan provider, prepared for the Feb. 13 media conference announcing the launch of a new center in Muncie. FULL STORY
Sports
Ball State athletes participate in Big Brothers/Big Sisters Bowl for kids sake
The Ball State University Athletics Department participated in the annual Bowl For Kids' Sake to benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Delaware County. Student-athletes from the BSU football team, men's and women's golf teams, along with athletics department administrators formed bowling teams for the event. FULL STORY

Track places second at MAC Championships
The Ball State indoor track and field team lost a close battle at the Mid-American Conference Championship held Friday and Saturday in Bowling Green, Ohio. The Cardinals finished second with a total of 105 points, while Akron took home the title with 118.50 points. Western Michigan placed third recording 75.75 points. FULL STORY

Men's tennis wins ninth straight
The No. 64 Ball State men's tennis squad is on a roll. The Cardinals recorded their ninth-consecutive win after sweeping both Eastern Kentucky and Anderson Friday evening at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center. The two victories move BSU to 11-3 overall this season. FULL STORY

Cardinals close out regular season victorious
When Tina Bolte nailed a long 3-pointer 15 seconds into the game, it set the tone for the entire 40 minutes. The game belonged to Ball State and, in the end, the Cardinals walked away with a 65-53 victory over Northern Illinois Tuesday at Worthen Arena in the regular-season finale. The win solidified BSU's No. 3 seed in the West Division in the upcoming Mid-American Conference Tournament. The Cardinals host Akron, the No. 6 seed from the East, Saturday at 2 p.m. FULL STORY
