Alumni Spotlight - Leta Gath Amburgey, '00
Leta Gath Amburgey earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Ball State University in 2000, majoring in Public Relations with Spanish and Marketing minors. Upon graduation she moved to Chicago and worked in corporate sales for Nextel Communications for 3 years. FULL STORY

Scheumann Stadium Dedication & Grand Opening
Join President Gora and Head Football Coach Brady Hoke in the dedication of Scheumann Stadium and recognition of John and June Scheumann, Paul and Pat Kozel, and John and Janice Fisher for their major contributions to the new stadium complex. Ball State Football Gameday 2007

Ball State Athletics names Karin Lee SWA
Ball State athletics director Tom Collins has announced the hiring of Karin Lee to the position of associate athletic director/senior woman administrator (SWA). Lee will officially begin her duties for the Cardinals August 20. FULL STORY

Ball State’s football season is a little over one month from the opening night in a renovated Scheumann Stadium, and the preseason prognosticators are voicing their opinions on how the season will finish. FULL STORY

ESPN regional television and MAC announce college football syndication package
ESPN Regional Television, Inc. (ERT) and the Mid-American Conference (MAC) have announced a six-week regionally syndicated football package that will air in 34 television markets, including Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Grand Rapids (Mich.) and Buffalo for the upcoming season. Ball State Athletics hires Walsh as head gymnastics coach
Nadalie Walsh, who has spent the last four years (2003-07) as the head women’s gymnastics coach at The University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, has been named the fifth head gymnastics coach in Ball State University history, according to athletics director Tom Collins. FULL STORY

Women’s Basketball adds Illinois transfer
Ball State women’s basketball head coach Tracy Roller announced that junior Danielle Gratton (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) will transfer and join the Cardinals this season after spending the previous two seasons at the University of Illinois. Gratton will have two years of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2007-08 season due to NCAA transfer rules. FULL STORY
