The nominee must have either majored in journalism, worked for student publications, or have taught in the department. He or she must have excelled in some phase of journalism, making the person worthy of induction. Other than a professor, the nominee must have graduated at least ten years before date of induction.
Journalism Alumni Award
The nominee must have either majored or minored in journalism or have worked for student publications. Person must have established a career in some phase of journalism, making the person worthy of the award.
Young Journalism Alumnus
The nominee must be under thirty-five years of age and must be a graduate of the journalism program. He or she must be in journalism or a related area and must have specific distinguished professional qualities.
Applications are accepted throughout the year and will remain in consideration for three years. To be considered for the spring awards, applications should be received by mid-November.
