Other Business
Community Project—Muncie Children's Museum—McIntosh reported that the nursing booth set-up is finished. It includes a playing DVD with Nurse Molly, teddy bears, stethoscopes, scrubs, posters, and a coloring activity mat. The April events involving the Nursing Alumni Association were cancelled and it was decided to begin potential participation with the Museum's August or September calendar of events. It was suggested to perhaps conduct a future nursing alumni board of directors meeting at the Museum. It was noted that the approval and coordination of the meeting would have to be through the Museum. McIntosh will work with the Museum and report back to the board.
Hutson expressed an idea regarding Pinning Ceremony attire of the graduating students. Currently they are wearing white uniforms and it was suggested to perhaps change to student uniforms. The consensus was for the graduating students to continue wearing the white uniforms.
The next Nursing Alumni board of directors meeting will be Tuesday, August 29, 2006, 5:30 p.m. Location to be determined (School of Nursing, Muncie Children's Museum). Agenda items will include the following: Group Title Change; 2006-07 Budget.
