Board Members Present: Diane Blankenship, Mary Buckley, DeLisa Flynn, Kathy Hutson, Ernie Krug, Jan Noel, Nadia Paul, Brandy Renz, Ruth Ann Tolle.

Vice President Mary Buckley called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. and asked for any corrections or additions to the minutes of the October 5, 2005 Nursing Alumni board of directors meeting.  Under Old Business, the 2005 December Pinning Ceremony is at 7:00 p.m., not 2:00 p.m.  Jan Noel made a motion to approve the minutes as corrected.  Brandy Renz seconded the motion and the minutes were approved by voice vote.

Old Business
2005 December Nursing Pinning Ceremony, Saturday, December 17, 7:00 p.m., Emens Auditorium.  Rehearsal will be Friday, December 16, 2:00 p.m., Emens.  There are 35 graduates.  Mary Buckley and Nadia Paul will attend the rehearsal for support.  Kathy Hutson and Brandy Renz met with the graduating class, and Brandy reported that they were impressed with the organization and overall effort of the class president and members.  Pam Cole has ordered the flowers.  Connie McIntosh has ordered and received the scissors.  Brandy Renz and DeLisa Flynn will distribute the flowers and scissors.  Kathy Hutson has made equipment/services arrangements with Emens staff.  Diane Blankenship will contact Phyllis Chapin to confirm who will distribute the programs.

Committee meetings were scheduled as follows:

2006 Nursing Alumni Scholarship Committee—Mary Buckley, DeLisa Flynn, Nadia Paul, Ruth Ann Tolle—Saturday, February 4, 2005, 9:00 a.m., Ruth Ann's office, Ball Memorial Hospital.  Ruth Ann will pick up the applications at the Alumni Association on Friday, February 3.

Scholarship applications will be sent to the School of Nursing for distribution and they will also be available online.  Ernie Krug will contact Kathy Harrold, School of Nursing, to request that an email be sent to nursing program students with application information and availability.

2006 Outstanding Nursing Alumni Award Committee—Pam Cole, Mario Contreraz, Kathy Hutson, Connie McIntosh, and Brandy Renz—Thursday, February 16, 2006, 4:00 p.m., Alumni Center Board Room.  Kathy and Brandy will notify Pam, Mario, and Connie about the meeting.  Nominees materials, along with an evaluation worksheet, will be sent to the committee for review and /ranking.

2006 Nursing Alumni Banquet Review Committee—Connie McIntosh, Mary Buckley, Linda Siktberg, Ernie Krug—A meeting needs to be scheduled.  Discussion tabled until the next board meeting.

2005 Homecoming Parade Float Entry—It was reported that the float was a lot of hard work and fun.  It was very well decorated and colorful.  Photos were circulated.

New Business
Nursing Alumni Association title change—Tabled until the next board meeting.

Alumni Association/Alumni Council Update
The next Alumni Council meeting is Saturday, January 21, 2006.

The next Nursing Alumni board of directors meeting will be Thursday, February 16, 2006, 5:30 p.m., Alumni Center, Board Room.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m.  Dinner followed at 909 Grille.
