Replogle explained to the new members the evolution of Dialogue Days and its purpose. This fall there will be 213 classes meeting on either Wednesdays or Thursdays and the goal is to get an alumnus in each and every class. The second week of August she plans to send a letter to potential speakers, and will work with Ittenbach on the list of previous participants. Heeter agreed to sponsor lunches one of the days.

Following a move by Nystrom and second from Budreau, David Abernathy, vice president of the Ball State Federal Credit Union, was unanimously approved to fill the remainder of a term vacated in April.
MCOB Alumni Awards
Nine award recipients will be recognized at the October 1, 2004 MCOB Alumni Awards Dinner. John Schnatter will receive the Hall of Fame award and provide the keynote address. The new Distinguished Partner Award will be presented to H. H.Gregg's CEO, Jerry Throgmartin. Awards of Distinction will be given to Wil Davis, Ron Fauquher, and Carl George. Among the committed sponsors are Ontario Systems, Mutual Federal Savings Bank, Republic Services, Brown and Associates, Strategic Marketing and Research, Inc., Ent & Imler CPA Group, Forum Credit Union, Conseco and LaSalle Bank. Ittenbach and Wilfong have volunteered to contact others when names are provided to them.
Invitations will be sent to all current and previous COB award recipients, major donors in the past 3 years, COB advisory and alumni board members, and participants in COB events in Indianapolis, Louisville, Chicago, Kokomo, Muncie and Peoria, IL. The cost will be $75 each. Tables of eight are being pre-sold for $500 each. Approximately 18-20 students will be invited as representatives of their COB organizations, and their cost will be $20 each, with the remainder being underwritten. Taylor will order a mail file and the counts.
Richardson would like to have imprinted gifts for attendees and suggested red umbrellas. Downey asked if a theme had been established, and said she would like to email some additional ideas on Thursday. Walbridge suggested developing a sponsorship package for these gifts. Richardson also suggested including the sponsor's name on the backside of the marble awards for the recipients, and the board agreed.
University Communications is developing a new look for the MCOB and the dean would like to incorporate this look in the event invitations if the timing is right. The invitation will include a line for an extra "donation" amount. Reservations will be taken via RSVP cards returned to the College. Richardson then recommended that Heeter preside over the Awards event. The board recommended business attire for it.
It was decided that the reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the dinner will begin at 7:00 p.m. Richardson asked if a power point presentation to run throughout the reception, showing the award recipients, sponsors of the event, and other information about the College, would be a good idea, and the board confirmed it. Downey offered to donate banners to hang around the Alumni Center with the logos for the sponsors. Gary Dick from the show Inside Indiana Business will cover this dinner since the MCOB will be sponsoring that program in the near future.
Conference Call
Heeter suggested another meeting in September, and the board decided that a conference call would be most beneficial to all involved. The call will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2004, at 7:30 a.m. Richardson will ask Ittenbach to set up the call.
Upcoming
The next meeting is Friday, October 1, 2004 at 3:30 p.m. in the Alumni Center Boardroom.
The meeting was adjourned at 5:10 p.m.
