Board of Directors Meeting

Ice Outing – Tom Andrews reported that attendance increased to 51 alumni and friends this year. The pre-game outing was held at the Ice House inside the Pepsi Coliseum. Tom recommended that we continue the outing, try for a Saturday date and offered to chair the event next year.
Casino Night – New outing chair Russ Lawrence reported 90 alumni and friends attended the outing at Jillian's in awful weather conditions. Several board members offered to provide additional prizes next year. The board recommended we return to Jillian's and Russ will chair the event again in 2008.
Theatre Outing – Brenda Cox reported over 130 alumni and friends have made reservations for the reception and performance of CATS. President Jo Ann Gora will attend the reception and will offer remarks about the university.
Golf and Dinner Outing – Bob Browning has confirmed arrangements for the Wednesday, June 13 outing at Pebble Brook Golf Club in Noblesville. We will use the south course this year. Julie Bradshaw offered to help with the beverage cart.
Continuing Professional Educational Seminar for Accountants – Kevin Ervin will chair the event again this year. Arrangements are complete for the Wednesday, June 13 seminar, which will be held at Lutz's Restaurant in Noblesville.
Indians Picnic and Baseball Outing – John Waite reported that plans are complete for the outing on Friday, June 8, at Victory Field. Fireworks are the special event for the evening. John will take reservations this year.
Symphony on the Prairie – Julie Bradshaw will chair the event and reported that Flash Cadillac with not perform this year. The entertainment will be a Mardi Gras Party on the Prairie on Saturday, August 11. Ticket Prices are $14.00 for adults and $9.00 for children. The board will again host a reception beginning at 7:00 p.m., before the 8:00 p.m. show.
Horse Racing Outing – Jason Blythe will chair Thoroughbred Racing at Hoosier Park in Anderson this year. The outing will be Saturday, September 15 and will feature a prime rib buffet at $24.95.
Cocktail Tasting - Steph Meyers will chair the event again this year. . Plans are to have the outing in Downtown Indianapolis on a Thursday evening.
New Outing – Josh Mason and Chad Ellis will look into a "watch party" outing for a Colts away game at a downtown location. They will have a report for our next meeting.
Next Meeting – The next board meeting will be Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at Dookz Sports Grill, 3855 East 96th Street In Indianapolis.
